Hey LGBTQ+ community! We’re listening!
Since our beginnings in 1997, our mission at the Center for Parenting Education has been to provide education and support for parents and caregivers to help with the challenges of raising children. While our resources currently include gendered language, the information we provide can be applied to all children, regardless of their gender identity.
Based on your feedback, we’re in the process of developing education that is consciously inclusive of LGBTQ+ children, parents, and caregivers. As we expand our information, we invite you to share your stories about raising a child that is LGBTQ+ or being an LGBTQ+ parent at lgbtqstories@centerforparentingeducation.org. Our goal is to meet your needs and acknowledge your unique challenges.
If you are comfortable with your story being included in our new material, please indicate so in your email. All names and identifying information will remain confidential.
